Remember the pre-cgi days when movies set in the future always had cars that were lightly disguised contemporary vehicles made by a couple add ons or deletions to look “ futuristic”.
Th e Tesla Model 3 looks like a contemporary Chrysler sedan they removed the grill on, you know, because future cars won’t have radiators.
If you are designing a car from scratch that won’t ever have a radiator, why make a place for one then cover it up with a blanking plate like a 60s car radio delete option?

if they intend to sell it in Europe (and other regions which follow EU standards) then it has to comply with their pedestrian safety regulations. So the front end has to be shaped a certain way, and most other car companies put a grille on that flat bullnose. they went grille-less but still have to have the flat bullnose.

I’m too busy being distracted by how the top of the windshield is too low on the passenger side and too high on the drivers side.

I think that blank space is a business opportunity. You can now make decals to badge it whatever you like... just like NASCAR.

then please allow me to retort by describing your rejoinder as capricious, arbitrary, and nonsensical; not to mention balderdash.
Good day, sir!

They' re not blanking anything out, except for the weight of your own expectations.
